REGISTRATION OF MERCHANTSAccording to Commercial law the merchants, their branches and representative offices in the territory of Latvia have to be registered by the Register of Enterprises. In addition the Register of Enterprises registers also the mass media, public organizations, commercial pledges, determinant holds, marriage agreements and confessions, works out the draw laws on registration of political parties and trade unions.
In the Register of Enterprises have to be registered:
physical persons - individual merchants;
commercial companies – personal companies (full partnership; limited partnership) and stock companies (Limited Liability Company, joint-stock company).
