DECLARATION OF INCOME OF STATE OFFICIALS

The range of state officials and matters, related to order of declaration of the property status and income of state officials is settled by the Law on Prevention of Conflicts of Interests in Actions of State Officials (see the section „Laws and regulations”). The law prescribes also actions of state officials in the circumstances of conflict of interests and presence in the illegal amenable situation.

The state official has an obligation to submit in the terms and order settled by law to the SRS the following electronic declarations of state officials:

  1. declaration, has to be submitted, when entering upon service – within one month since the date of entering upon service or date, when state official is entered into the list of state officials, if the status of the state official is determined after entering upon service ;.

  2. annual declaration – till April 1;

  3. declaration, has to be submitted, when terminate service – within one month since the date of termination service (if the office of state official was filled for more than three months);

  4. the declaration, that has to be submitted, when terminate service, has to be submitted by the President of State, members of Saeima, Prime minister, assistant of Prime minister, ministers, ministers for exclusive tasks, state ministers and parliamentary secretaries, chairmen of municipalities and executive directors of municipalities, if the correspondent office was filled for more than three months. The mentioned declaration has to be submitted to the SRS:

  • for the first year – till the last day of the 15th month, counting from the date of entering upon service;

  • for the second year – till the last day of the 27th month, counting from the date of entering upon service.

The declarations would be filled in accordance with the regulations issued by Cabinet on October 2, 2002, No.478 „The order of filling, submission, registration and storage of declarations of state officials and the order of filling and submission the lists of state officials” (see the section „Laws and regulations”).
